Rescue and Climbing workshops

Just finished up with the annual Vermeer ArborSeries, which this year focused on aerial rescue. Initial concern that the topic of rescue would not be a draw card was completely misplaced – we had a fantastic turnout, and a lot of enthusiasm for a topic that I hope will be completely useless… or rather that no-one will ever need to use it.

And off to Sacramento tomorrow, for another presentation, this time for SherrillTree’s ArborFest West. Presenting on MRS and SRS, with Derrick Martin from PA. Going to be an interesting event, and a great trip…

Climate change

After a year in Darwin, and months on the road, into trees is now based in Tasmania.  We have moved into Mountain River, half an hour outside of Hobart… which feels a very long way from the tropics.  Looking out the window at snow on the mountains around us this morning.
