The 2011 Western Australian Tree Climbing Championship was run across the weekend of 30 April – 1 May. The preliminaries were held on the first day (please click on the image above to download a PDF of the full scores) with the second day featuring some more lighthearted events, as well as 7 climbers going through the masters challenge. The competition was held in the beautiful gardens of King’s Park, Perth, and was one of the smoothest and most well-organised competitions that we have seen. Congratulations and thanks to all of the organisers and volunteers who made the event such a success.
The let this one run roadtrip climbers also had a good day out, with Kiah Martin winning the women’s preliminaries and Joe Harris scraping past Scott Forrest to win the men’s. Both Kiah and Joe went through to the second day to do demonstration masters climbs, after the local climbers had finished their competition.
