Long days call for early starts, and into trees recently spent a very long day high up in some huge Eucalyptus regnans (mountain ash). The trees loomed over a house and garage, so we removed deadwood throughout both canopies, then weight-reduced the overhanging branches as necessary to ameliorate the risk of branch failure.
All the branches and large deadwood were of course rigged down to protect the property below; in addition we performed a thorough crown-clean, removed mistletoe and gave the trees a comprehensive aerial inspection… and finished just before darkness! There were some tired faces in the car on the way home – but well worth it for a job well done and some fine looking trees.
